Pickleball is the fastest growing recreational sport in the United States. It appeals to individuals of all age groups and skill levels. The City of Victoria has several properties that are suitable for outdoor Pickleball courts, namely Lions Park and the Victoria Rec Center. This petition is to allocate funds to be used to repurpose the Lions Park tennis courts or the Skate Park at the Rec Center for new Pickleball courts.
